Metropolitan Home Prices Decline Nearly 8% in Q2, Sales at 10-year Low
Prices of homes in the United States fell by an
average of 7.6% in the second quarter of 2008, compared to the previous
year, as 115 of the 150 metro areas surveyed saw declines, according to a
new release from the National Association of Realtors.

Weekly mortgage applications in the United States
fell in the week ending Aug. 8, according to data released from the
Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) on Wednesday, which reported a 1.5%
week-over-week decline in applications.
